Parga

The town of Parga is famous for its unique style and is an ideal tourist destination due to its traditional village which is built amphitheatrically, also known for its rare beauty. The city is built at the foot of the Venetian castle and is influenced by the Ionian architecture.

The view from the castle hill that overlooks the sea, the beautiful bays and green island of the Virgin can be described as breathtaking. Cobbled streets, traditional ‘alleys’, blossomed neighborhoods and traditional taverns add a beautiful sensual touch to the idyllic landscape of Parga. The city style is lively with vivid and modern elements from the past that have been harmoniously integrated. The fun starts from morning tours, walks, explorations and is continued throughout the  night. A boat ride to all the beaches is particularly beautiful and idyllic.

Geographically, the city “faces” the Ionian Sea and is located 68 km northwest of Preveza and 50 km southeast of Igoumenitsa. The Acheron River is nearby, and on the opposite side one can find the islands of Paxos and Antipaxos.
